These past two days have been super duper hard. I’ve been tired and having cravings. I resisted the urge to get my favorite drink at Starbucks and stayed clear of the Doritos (what a weird craving). Yesterday, I did find the energy to survive a 3 year old’s mega tantrum, run 3.5 miles after work and do three loads of laundry. (I can’t tell if it’s motherhood, teaching, or Whole30 that are making me so tired). It’s likely all three.
Breakfast: chunked pineapple, trail mix, coffee+unsweetened almond milk, mini Lara Bar
Lunch: guacamole, carrots, clementine, applesauce
Snack: cold brew coffee with unsweetened coconut milk
Dinner: lettuce, tomato, salsa, cucumber, guacamole, mini Lara bar
Snack: banana, almond butter, cinnamon, and almond milk
Takeaway: As the day went on energy increased and the crazy food cravings slowly got better too. Because I hate the smell of sun butter I went shopping and found an approved almond butter and cashew butter. I also found a new recipe (like a dessert) to help with the weekend cravings while surrounded by sweets in Frankenmuth, MI. It has bananas, almond butter, cinnamon, and coconut or almond milk. It’ll be nice to try something new. I also found some ghee to tryout. (This was very expensive, but I’m going to remain optimistic and hope a little bit goes a long way.)
